As the Office Manager for a federal law practice, Michael Satterfield was responsible for ensuring the proper conduct of daily business including the budget and advertising, hiring and supervising staff, and managing the docket. He interviewed clients and generated the petitions, motions and schedules for both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies and managed the firmís relations with investors, creditors and court staff.
Michael also, created a joint-venture with Computer Utilities Participants. The firmís investors loaned $240,000 to develop the first software for US Bankruptcy courts. Michael incorporated the firmís new company as Legal Data Systems and I was appointed President. The company was an instant success.
Michael has also been an Independent insurance Agent since 1987 after working as a captive agent for Met Life for 5 Ĺ years. Several times he was awarded for being one of the top-ten Met agents on the Front Range and his qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table was what encouraged him to go into private practice. He provided Consumer Reports on a variety of insurance products and I still provides insurance on a much smaller scale.
